We don’t subscribe to one particular style, preferring to be fluid so that our work does not necessarily fit into a predictable mould. We feel that the most important ingredient to a beautiful project is the successful partnership between our clients and us. We aim to create projects that are a reflection of the client’s personality and style and our aim is to seamlessly meld it all together.

Tanya Hancock

Tanya Hancock of Hancock Architects is more than an Architect
– She is a creator of wonderful environments which encompass those who live there
– She is a creator of homes

Tanya spent her initial years as an architect working in London on projects throughout the UK and European Continent.  Over this time she worked on a range of projects from large scale residential apartment developments to high end residential single dwellings and boutique commercial projects.

In 2002, Tanya returned to Australia and established her initial company T01 Architecture & Interiors with a main focus on her true love – exquisitely designed yet functional residential projects.

The practice moved to Woollahra and emerged as Hancock Architects in late 2015, a multi-disciplinary studio focused on producing contemporary design with timeless beauty. Tanya is the Principal Design Architect on all projects and the firm has gained much recognition for design excellence locally and internationally. She specialises not only in architectural design but also in creating beautiful homes that work specifically for the client and their lifestyle. Her work is defined by a contemporary feel with an emphasis on light, whilst maintaining a level of warmth in the materials and overall space.

The team has a warm yet sophisticated approach to design with a strong focus on working very closely with their clients on the journey to evolve and develop their brief to provide a comfortable and aesthetically beautiful place to call home.
